BE WILD from Raphael Rogers on Vimeo.
One week in an RV traveling the beautiful state of California. Our route showed us the diverse vistas that our home has to offer. We began traveling from Los Angeles to Joshua Tree, then on to Big Sur, up through to San Francisco, then over to Tahoe and finally Yosemite. A trip I'll never forget. With just two cameras and our friends to film it was a chance to let our creativity flow. Our adventures included climbing down a cliff in Big Sur to retrieve our one fallen drone [not recommended], freezing at night in Tahoe and witnessing the most glorious sunsets man can lay eyes on. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
Shot with the Sony FS7 and the Arri Alexa Mini.
Thanks to Stevie and Sazan for making this happen!
And to Max, Brittany and Jon for the best trip ever.

Rene Jackaman, archive assistant at Cornwall County Record Office, found all those names after coming across a real-life namesake of C.S. Forester's fictional naval hero in county census records. The Hornblower name has been on record for centuries.
Inspired by that discovery, staff and researchers at the Cornwall Record Office compiled a list of more than 1,000 unusual names found in censuses as well as in births, deaths and marriage records going back as far as the 16th century.
``My all-time favorites are Abraham Thunderwolff and Freke Dorothy Fluck Lane,'' she said. Other discoveries included Boadicea Basher, Philadelphia Bunnyface, Faithful Cock, Susan Booze, Elizabeth Disco, Edward Evil, Fozzitt Bonds, Truth Bullock, Charity Chilly, Gentle Fudge, Obedience Ginger and Offspring Gurney. Levi Jeans was married in Padstow, Cornwall, in 1797. Other remarkable duos in the marriage records included Nicholas Bone and Priscilla Skin, joined in wedlock in 1636; Charles Swine and Jane Ham in 1711; John Mutton and Ann Veale in 1791.

No, this won't be about Dubya... Just something that happened several month's ago.
I was at my mom's one day helping her around her place and while I was washing her windows she approached me with a very odd request. Realize that she is around 70 years old and I'm 40, and this is the person who raised me and my siblings:
Mom: Can I get you to do one more thing before you go?
Me: Okay, what'cha need done?
Mom: Will you ball my bush?
Me: (with a look of extreme bewilderment on my face) Whaaaat?
Mom: Will ya ball my BUSH?
Me: What are you talking about?
Mom: (beginning to look irritated) Will you BALL my BUSH, MY BUSH... IN THE FRONT?
Me: I have no idea what you are aking me to do!
Mom: (becoming extremely mad by now) Will you ball my bush in the front, the front, Matt (my brother in-law) always balls my bush in the front... do you think you can?
(You have no idea what was running through my mind at the moment)
Mom: Just get the hedge trimmers out to the front of my place and shape the bush so it is more round please. Do you think you can do that for me?
Me: (slowly realizing what she was asking, as well as how warped my mind is) No mom, I am not that good with hedge trimmers.
Mom: Well, I guess I'll have to get Matt to ball my bush...
Me: Yep, I guess he will have to do it.
I think I need help... some serious help...
